Kick-off and Steering Committee meeting
The eSleep_dHealth Kick-off and Steering Committee meeting was held at the University of Split – School of Medicine on November 14th, 2023. It was co-organized and coordinated by the project partners Mediterranean Economic Foresight Institute (IPEMED) and NetHub (E.C.H.R. Ltd.). The attendees, along with coordinators, were other Project partners – the University of Split, the University of Crete, and the University of Reykjavik. The event marked a significant step in launching of this transformative Project.
Maja Čurković, representing the Project coordinator NetHub, opened the Kick-off meeting with a warm welcome, emphasizing the core objective of the Project – the transformation of three distinguished European universities into catalysts for social transformation within fields of digital healthcare and sleep medicine. Moreover, the Project coach, Branka Bernard, presented the Project’s main objectives, work packages, and activities, and provided insight into the anticipated outcomes. Later on, Gina Bilankov, another representative from NetHub, presented the structure and responsibilities of the advisory body – the Steering Committee in overseeing project implementation throughout its duration. It was highlighted that the Steering Committee will offer continuous support to Project partners, providing guidance for the development, management, and implementation of project activities.
The meeting was closed with a presentation by the representative from IPEMED – Goran Pažin, clarifying the details of the developed Project Management Plan and Communication and Dissemination Plan. It was emphasized, that the Management Plan will serve as a guide to the Project’s administrative and management procedures, outlining the structure, tasks, and responsibilities of all partners at every phase of Project implementation. The Communication and Dissemination Plan, on the other hand, will focus on enhancing the Project’s visibility. Finally, the developed Project logo was also presented to the Project partners. The meeting concluded with a collaborative question-and-answer session, providing all partners with an opportunity to seek clarification about the further development of the Project.
After the meeting, all Project partners gathered at a local traditional dinner, where they had the opportunity to network and explore the host city, Split.
